Here at techie we feel your pain. We know what it’s like to endlessly wander the app store in search of a semi-decent app that won’t have you doing the walk of shame the morning after. We too have felt the urge to Chuck Norris style kick the back of someone’s face in the next time we see a game ending in “–ville”. We too are tired of unhappy birds, board games with friends, running from monkeys, blowing up gems, and mercilessly slaughtering fruit. That’s why we have come up with a “cheat sheet” for some of the apps we can’t get enough here at techie.

The Quick Fix:

taptapTap Tap Revenge Tour. This is one handsome little game and the visuals leave nothing to be desired. The gameplay is simple yet challenging enough to keep you interested. You sign in via your Facebook account, which spares you from having to create another username and password which you will then promptly forget. This also means that you can send notifications and status updates to your page allowing you to not only annoy the people in the waiting room who have to listen to you rock out to Justin Bieber songs, but on your page too! Killing two pigs with one bird just couldn’t be easier. The gameplay is simple yet challenging enough to keep you interested. The game is beautiful and simple yet prone to crashing and littered with “hidden” product promotion. Want this plain black sofa to decorate your wall with? That will be 2,000 coins, but this Katy Perry bright pink sofa is FREE. All things considered it is worth the download, after all it is free.

The Rover:

grooveIpIconLargeGrooVe IP: Voice Without Minutes. This little app allows you to make free unlimited calls to anywhere in the U.S. of A. and even Canada. How? Well, if you have access to Wifi then you can turn your Android powered device in a phone. So rejoice all people, for now you no longer have to worry about wasting your data plan and going over your minute allowance! Be forewarned though, this app is completely dependent upon the strength of the WiFi connection you’re tapping into. If the WiFi isn’t strong enough your calls will be dropped, incomplete, or the app won’t function at all. All things considered, this app is well worth the $4.99 price tag.

The App Man:

img_slab_subject_ib2Infinity Blade 2. Have you been wishing for a gorgeous RPG to make the jump from computer to handheld? If so, then boy do we have the game for you! Infinity Blade 2 is nothing less than what you would expect from its creators, Epic. It is visually stunning, and has a constantly updated storyline that keeps you coming back for more. A game this “epic” is not without its pitfalls though; The extreme file size (over one gig!) makes you think twice before you update it. It also is not yet optimized for the iphone 5. The download price is also a little high at $5.99. All things considered though, this game is extremely worth the buy!

Well ladies and gentlemen, there you have it. Three great games that we here at techie can’t get enough of. If you like these games or have a favorite game that you play, hit us up at the facebooks!
